Our mission at DOWELL ENTERPRISES is to design and produce effective and affordable DSLR / SLR support and protection systems utilizing a universal mount approach. After extensive research and development we would like to present these following products.
A common problem associated with using SLR cameras and large lenses is the weight of the SLR camera and lens being recklessly supported solely by the strap on the camera body. Always dangling down awkwardly, requiring the use of your hands trying to protect and stabilize your investment. Not to mention the excess stress on your neck and shoulders.
The Lens Cradle supports the camera and lens in a secure horizontal position, utilizing the tripod mounting ring on the lens. Thereby, substantially reducing if not eliminating, the damage and stress that occurs to the cameras gold plated contacts and lens mounting contact surfaces. The lens cradle gives horizontal balance and stability that a camera strap alone does not provide. You no longer need to support the weight of a large lens with your hands. Due to the Lens Cradle's unique quad rail design it will accommodate lens tripod mount bases up to 1 1/2 inches wide.

The Lens Guard is constructed of 6mm or 1/4" of water resistant closed cell neoprene ( diving suit material ) that is encased in a tough vinyl outer cover. This powerful combination not only cushion's but absorbs impact while preventing damaging scrapes and scratches that can occur to your exposed lens. Available in multiple sizes that will fit a wide range of lenses from 2.5" to 3.75" in diameter. The Lens Guard fits snugly over the end of your lens, and can be used with or without filters or lens caps. The Lens Guard features a built in tether that can be fitted to your lens, camera strap or camera body. Front and rear lens covers will be available.
The Expedition strap meets the requirements of today's adventurous photographers who use multiple cameras and lenses to cover the demanding photo challenges presented by their work or hobby. Now the Camera and Lens Cradle combination can be comfortably worn with only one strap. This allows you to maintain better control of your equipment with far less physical effort while prolonging the life of your expensive equipment. The Expedition strap is fully adjustable at all points for a custom fit. Additional primary and secondary strap ends are available for multiple camera and lens combinations.
The Explorer strap is the same as the Expedition but with out the secondary straps for the Lens Cradle.
